The Jumping Place>About Us>Pricing
Cathy Kloess (DZO)- aka packncathy: Cathy made her first jump in 1986. She is the drop zone owner. She holds an FAA Master Parachute Riggers certificate with three type ratings, a Commercial Pilot Certificate and USPA AFF and S/L instructor ratings. But more importantly she answer the phone when you call the DZ. Since 1989 she has been the Owner/operator of The Packing Place. Jumpers across the US, Puerto Rico and Venezuela have allowed her and the folks who work with her to pack their rigs. This has paid for college educations for all 5 of her children. A few years ago she went to a "boogie" in Montana and met this really great gentleman from Alaska. Larry has encouraged Cathy to pursue every rating possible and without his encouragement she would not have the ratings needed to run a Drop Zone. If you like this place please remember to say "Thank You" to Larry. Larry Ehrlich: Larry is an Airline Pilot with over 20,000 flight hours. Currently he flies MD-11's internationally for Gemini Air Cargo. When we are real lucky he flies our plane! Larry is an FAA Parachute Rigger with three type ratings. supports this DZ in ways you cannot imagine. For 12 years he was a commercial pilot in Alaska. Larry made his first skydive in 1976 and is still skydiving today. Glenn Bangs: Glenn has been jumping over 31 years and has made over 7,650 skydives. He is the current United States Parachute Association President, as well as a National and two-time World Champion in Formation Skydiving. He is an Accelerated Freefall, Static/Line, Tandem Instructor/Examiner, and a National Judge. Glenn serves the skydiving community as an AFF, Static Line, and Coach Course Director. Glenn holds an FAA Master Parachute Rigger Certificate and is a pilot with over 650 flight hours. He also holds USPA’s PRO Exhibition rating and is a regular demo jumper into the Jacksonville Jaguar’s Alltel Stadium. Glenn has been a member of the USPA Board of Directors since 2000. Tim Caudill: Tim began his jumping career in 1982 with the military . In 1996, while stationed in Yuma, Arizona he started his civilian skydiving adventure with Jay Stokes and now has well over 1000 jumps. Since then, only operational deployments to various locations of the world, including Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom have slowed him down. Tim is currently a USPA Coach, Static Line Instructor and Tandem Instructor. He enjoys introducing the sport to others and when not in the air you can find him talking to and passing on knowledge to new jumpers.
